We offer coordinated care across inpatient, outpatient, and home settings to support every stage of your recovery.

Cambridge Hospital, part of Cambridge Health Group, is a specialized provider of rehabilitation, post-acute, long-term, and home-based care. We operate six facilities across two countries. In the United Arab Emirates: Cambridge Hospital Abu Dhabi, Cambridge Hospital Al Ain, and the Al Mudeef in Abu Dhabi. In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Cambridge Hospital Dhahran, Cambridge Hospital Al Khobar, and Cambridge Hospital Jeddah. Together they provide 715 beds and more than 1,300 healthcare professionals.

You can book by calling 800-692273 in the United Arab Emirates or 920013122 in Saudi Arabia, by emailing [email protected], or by using the booking form on this website. Many of our services can be accessed by contacting us directly, while some may need a referral from your treating doctor or may require one for insurance purposes. Tell us about the condition and our team will confirm what is needed and guide you to the right service.

Yes. Wherever  you’re  being cared for, across the UAE or Saudi Arabia, Cambridge Hospital works with a wide network of insurance providers to make your care as seamless as possible.

In the UAE, we work with:  Thiqa  Insurance, Daman Insurance, Abu Dhabi National Insurance, NextCare  Insurance, Neuron Insurance, AlMadallah  Healthcare Management, SAICO Insurance, Enaya Insurance.

In Saudi Arabia, we work with:  Bupa, Gulf Union, Tawuniya, JHAH, MOH, Al Rajhi Takaful, TCS, GlobeMed, Malath.

Contact us with your insurance details and our team will confirm whether your plan is accepted, explain what it covers, and set out self-pay options where needed.

Yes, and we encourage it. Families are part of the rehabilitation team: they take part in setting goals, receive training and education so they can support care safely at home, and are kept informed throughout.

You can trust that every part of your care meets internationally recognized standards. Our rehabilitation programs are accredited by  CARF, the global benchmark for rehabilitation and extended care, and our UAE facilities hold  Joint Commission International (JCI)  accreditation.

We also hold  ADHICS  certification for healthcare information and cyber security,  OSHAD  certification for occupational safety and health, and take part in the Department of Health Abu Dhabi’s  JAWDA  healthcare quality program.

For KSA, we also hold CAP certification.

Inpatient care means becoming a resident with us for a period of focused recovery, in a homelike environment  across  our hospitals designed around your comfort and progress. This suits patients who need intensive daily therapy, close medical supervision, or round-the-clock nursing while they heal.

How long you  remain  with us varies from patient to patient, guided by your individual care plan, which may include intensive rehabilitation programs, transitional ventilator weaning, or long-term complex medical care.

Outpatient rehabilitation is for patients who are well enough to live at home and come to us for scheduled therapy, consultations, diagnostics, treatments, and follow-up care.

Inpatient and outpatient are two distinct  services,  each suited to a different level of need. For some patients, they come one after the other, as inpatient care gives way to outpatient rehabilitation while strength returns. For others, either one may be the right starting point on its own, depending on their individual condition and care plan.

Inpatient rehabilitation is for people who need intensive daily therapy with round-the-clock medical supervision — usually after a hospital stay, when recovery at home or through outpatient visits isn’t sufficient.

We care for adults, adolescents, and children recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, major surgery or trauma, cardiac and respiratory events, and prolonged critical illness.

There is no standard length of stay, because it depends on the condition, the patient’s goals, and how recovery progresses. Some patients stay for a few weeks; others with more complex needs stay considerably longer. At admission, your team agrees clear, individual goals with you and your family, reviews them regularly, and keeps you informed at every stage — including when the time is right to move on to outpatient or home-based care.

Yes. Our facilities have a Transitional Ventilator Care Unit and structured weaning programs for patients who arrive on mechanical ventilation, including patients transferring from intensive care elsewhere. The aim is to reduce or remove ventilator dependence wherever it is clinically possible, and to provide safe, skilled long-term ventilated care where it is not.

Every patient’s care plan is shaped by a multidisciplinary team working together throughout the journey. Consultant intensivists and physicians lead the medical plan, whether that means designing a weaning protocol or managing long-term ventilator dependence, while respiratory therapists, ICU nurses, physical and occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists work alongside the patient to build strength and stability. Case managers and social workers support the patient and family at every step, from admission through discharge or long-term care planning.

Outpatient services are specialist consultations and therapy for patients who live at home and visit us for scheduled appointments. They suit patients who are medically stable but still need expert rehabilitation, whether continuing recovery after an inpatient stay, recovering from an injury or an operation, or managing a long-term condition.

No. Many of our outpatients have never been admitted to one of our hospitals — they come to us for rehabilitation after an injury, an operation, or a diagnosis elsewhere. You can be referred by your doctor, or contact us directly.

Most patients attend one or more therapy sessions a week, over a period ranging from a few weeks to several months, depending on your condition and recovery goals. Your care team, your physician and therapists working together, sets your exact schedule based on your initial assessment, and adjusts it as you progress, so you always know what you are working towards and how you are progressing.

Yes. The Kozyavkin Method is offered as one of our specialized outpatient pediatric programs, for children and adolescents with cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions where spasticity affects movement.
What sets it apart is the intensive, cycle-based structure: rather than isolated weekly sessions, care is delivered in focused rehabilitation cycles that combine Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech & Language Therapy with techniques such as spinal mobilization and postural correction, working on multiple systems at once to build lasting improvements in mobility, coordination, and daily function.
This is delivered through Cambridge Hospital’s Cerebral Palsy Program across our Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Dhahran facilities, with an individualized treatment plan and family-centered care so you always know how your child’s progress is being tracked and adjusted.

Home Care brings clinical and rehabilitation services into the patient’s own home. It can include skilled nursing — such as wound care, tube feeding, catheter and tracheostomy care, medication management, and intravenous therapy — as well as respiratory therapy including oxygen, nebulization, and ventilator management; home physiotherapy and occupational therapy; and physician home visits. Care is delivered by licensed teams to the same clinical standards as in our hospitals.

It supports patients returning home after surgery or a hospital stay, patients continuing their recovery after a rehabilitation program, and patients living with long-term or complex conditions who are better cared for at home. We care for adults, adolescents, and children.

No. Home care completes the recovery journey for many of our own patients, but you can arrange it directly whether or not you have been treated with us before.

Contact our team and we will arrange an assessment of the patient’s clinical needs and home environment, then build a care plan around them. We will also confirm what your insurance covers, or explain self-pay options where needed.
